Lunch at Murakami

Murakami Roll
Volcano Roll
Salmon Teriyaki
Spicy Maguro

I have been following Murakami on instagram and facebook for quite some time now and I always wanted to try the place out since I'm a big fan of Japanese food then finally got the chance to and it was so so so goooooood! It's so worth it! Customer service was excellent too and the food is just amazing!

Aside from the food, I love the aesthetic and minimalism of the place with its tableware and interior design. Me and my friend wanted to take the chairs home haha. So let's talk about the food (yum), since it was our first time there - our waiter was so kind enough to suggest what we can order from the menu. Thank you so much for helping us out and for your excellent customer service.

For starters, we had Murakami roll and Volcano roll. Murakami roll contains salmon sashimi, tuna, yellowtail, avocado, spring onion, tobiko, spicy mayo - commonly sushi's are wrapped in seaweed sheets but this one is wrapped in cucumber sheets as you can see in the photo. Volcano roll is deep fried in tempura with salmon, tuna, yellowtail, tobiko, avocado and spring onion - sushis are topped on each other like a volcano hence the name I guess and when you eat it, the taste explodes in your mouth like lava flowing down the volcano. It's so hard to explain how it really tasted but for me it tasted like that, exploding in my mouth every bite I take.

For mains, Salmon Teriyaki for my friend and Spicy Maguro for me but of course we had rice. Salmon Teriyaki is obviously salmon, grilled with teriyaki sauce and Spicy Maguro is grilled tuna with spicy teriyaki sauce. Both are so tasty but next time I would like to try the Wagyu beef (drools) and their desserts!. I didn't realise that we mainly ate a lot of fish that day haha until I wrote this post. I hope you enjoyed that and sorry for making you hungry haha. Let me know if you went to the place and what you ate! But I suggest Murakami and Volcano roll, definitely!

BARCELONA: Montjuïc + Olympic Park + Barcelona Sunset

The Four Columns
View from Montjuïc
Olympic Park

Hello again! Another post from my Barcelona trip, however, this is my last post from my Barcelona adventure. I hope you enjoyed the rest of it and I would appreciate it if you could make suggestions or recommend me places to eat or things to do when I go back again in Spain on my instagram, twitter, snapchat or even here!

Last day in Barcelona, as most people who enjoys their time spent exploring a different country, I'm sure we all feel the same. I didn't want to go back to reality at the same time I have to and I need to. There will always be a conflict in our feelings but that's why we travel to leave reality behind and live in the moment as well as appreciate life and enjoy it.

On my last day in Barcelona, my friends and I went to Montjuïc in the morning. Although it was on top of the hill, it wasn't hard climbing up as they have provided escalators and they also have stairs so if you want to make it hard for yourself use the stairs haha. When we reached the top, you can almost see the whole of Barcelona it was breathtaking and overwhelming. I sat there inhaling the view for at least 30mins and reflected on my life too haha. After that, we went to the Olympic Park which was just behind the museum. That day there was an event too and I guessed it was comic con so it was pretty crowded but it wasn't so bad. We were also able to enter in the stadium because there was a family event so it was free entry, we got it lucky that day because on a normal day you can't really go in. In the afternoon, we headed to Port Barcelona and along the way we also saw Columbus' monument. We explored the market too and I bought this pretty small jewellery box suitable for my rings and bracelet. We walked around the port, sat down, inhaled the view and then it got late so we were able to watch the sunset and that was the best highlight of our day. Next day, we had to go back to gloomy cold UK haha. I really enjoyed my stay in Spain, the weather was perfect, full of history, people are lovely and such a beautiful place that I left a piece of my heart.

See you again xx

Twenty Seventeen

First post of the year! How are you? I hope you had a good start to the year if not, I'm sure it will get better if not now perhaps later so don't let it get to you too much :) So as I have posted on my twitter, snapchat and instagram, this post is going to be a little personal - what I mean is I'm going to open about myself a little, a summary of my 2016 and perhaps plans for 2017.

Here it goes, even though my 2016 hasn't been the best year ever, I am still thankful and appreciate how blessed I am to be alive, doing things I love, surrounded by my family and long-time friends. Although through the good times, I also had a really stressful time with uni and relationship wise. Me and my now ex-boyfriend who were together for such a long time (and I'm not talking about 1 or 3 years, more than 5 years lol); broke up during times where essay deadline and placement was coming up. I struggled a lot on moving on and overcoming it. It was a really difficult time for me and I'm not exactly sure how I did it but I did it haha. Then after my placement, I received an award which I became more appreciative of myself for being strong and overcoming whatever challenge in life I face. So I became really busy and focused more on myself and my studies that's where I decided to come back to blogging again.

My plans for 2017 is to make the most out of it, go with the flow and it's the year where everything that I do is all for myself. I want to live the single life. Do things I haven't done before like rock climbing, martial arts and hiking. Be happier. Meet friends more frequently. Meet new people probably? Travel more. Eat healthy. Drink more water. Hit the gym. BLOG MORE. Basically focus solely on myself and do even better on my studies. If you're wondering if I'm going to date or would date soon, I don't want to although my friends said to just go with the flow but I think I will pass on dating for now. I want to find myself and love myself before I do that. It's also tiring getting attached to someone easily and they don't really give a shit lol. Therefore, this year is all me, myself and I. How about you? What are your plans for this year?
